In the heart of Philadelphia's Art Museum and Fairmount Area,

McCrossen's Tavern is the Art Museum neighborhood's dining destination. Our warm hospitality along with Chef Townsend Wentz's effortless reworking of a traditional Tavern menu draws on our rustic history. As an alumnus of the Fountain at The Four Seasons and Lacroix at the Rittenhouse, Wentz is well versed in French technique, Spanish influences and Italian specialties in kitchen. GM and Sommelier Lauren Harris' industry-leading insight produces a wine list of interest, surprise, and value, and her dedication to craft beer positions McCrossen's Tavern as renowned for a well-cultured tap and bottle list, as well as exceptional bar service.

Chef Wentz's menu ranges from hearty favorites loved by all to more sophisticated takes from Wentz's rich culinary experience. The menu also changes seasonally and guests can expect a bevy of outstanding specials and additions nightly.

Every month McCrossen's hosts highly attended and unique events to Philadelphia, which often draw in vintners and mongers to pair cheeses and wines with Wentz's cuisine. During the themed and Totally Awesome Monthly Pairings Dinner, Guests and staff celebrate the food and wines of world regions provided by Wentz, Harris and Di Bruno Bros. Rocco Rainone, offering select wines, cheeses and dishes in a memorable, informative and intimate dining experience.
